What 3 words describe Accelity to you?

Smart, bold, and collaborative. We all feed off of each other’s skillsets while promoting strengths and improving on weaknesses.

What advice do you have for someone looking to get started in marketing?

Learn everything you can, even if you don’t have plans to do that facet of marketing in the future. Marketing is a puzzle made of many pieces. If you understand how and why all of the pieces fit together, even at a basic level, it gives you an advantage when you go into specializing.

Who inspires you?

My grandmothers. They both immigrated from Cuba to the U.S. in the late 50s and early 60s to escape communism, working 3–4 jobs while learning English to provide a better life for their children and future generations. Their bravery and tenacity for making something out of nothing are what made me the person I am today.

If you could have one special power what would it be?

Without a doubt, teleportation. I love to travel and teleportation would definitely cut down on transportation costs! Plus, I can attain my goals of going to a game at every MLB stadium (9 and counting so far) and visiting every continent at least once.

What is an attainable life goal you have for yourself in 10 years?

I want to open a group home to take in foster kids with the ultimate goal of reunifying them with their families, and a secondary goal of adopting them into a family. In 20 years I hope to have these group homes in states where facilities are overwhelmed and underfunded.

What is your hometown known most for?

Long story short, there’s a lot more to Miami than the glitz and glamor of South Beach. From the outsider’s perspective, it’s the beaches, the women and walking out of clubs at 5 am. However, I think it’s the culture and the melting pot the city has created. Miami is a city built by immigrants and it 100% shows. Oh, and you can’t forget the amazing food.

If a friend/colleague were to bump into you in public, where would you most likely be?

You’ll find me at any one of these 3 places:

  1. The beach, probably eating a taco or a burrito
  2. At a sporting event of some kind (Go Dolphins/Marlins/Heat/Red Sox/Padres!)
  3. At your local concert or music festival
