Growth, Good Food & Great Clients Drive Areli

What drew you to Accelity?

I was drawn to Accelity because I wanted to join a company that not only values growth and professional development, which is what I strive to accomplish, but also takes pride in the work they do.

What stood out to me is how intentional and objective the team is at every step, during the hiring, internal processes, or the way they partner with clients. That approach gave me confidence that my work here would be both meaningful and productive. I also appreciate that Accelity is thoughtful in choosing its clients, which allows the team to focus on interesting and impactful projects without unnecessary hurdles.

Who would you switch places with for one day?

I have given this a lot of thought. Any retired lady who looks and feels way too good for her age, owns a boat and properties in a nice beach town, and is also married to a very loyal retired professional chef (and they travel the world together).

I’d also switch places with a successful, charismatic travel vlogger, the kind that avoids all the drama on social media, lives an interesting life, and actually gets paid to travel and eat around the world. Whoever you are out there, just know…I envy you.

What’s your secret talent?

Humble bragging, but I am a great cook, and I am also very good at training dogs, if anyone needs either service. 🍳🐕

What is your guilty pleasure entertainment?

I enjoy watching horror movies at any time of the day. And period dramas, very, very different things, but both enjoyable.

Where is your favorite spot in Mexico City?

At the moment, I really like a place called Tetetlán, a cute, three-story restaurant with galleries and shops, and private art shows, and I also enjoy the impromptu theater companies that showcase their plays in random houses and forums in the city. I also like different speakeasies around the city. There is so much to do here.

What is your favorite Mexico City autumn activity?

I enjoy visiting Ciudad Universitaria, where my university (UNAM—Go Pumas!) is located. During Día de Muertos, the campus fills with beautiful altars, and walking around at night while taking it all in and enjoying great food along the way is such a special experience. I’m also a big fan of the city’s music festivals, like the Corona Capital, especially when the lineup is on point.

If a friend/colleague were to bump into you in public, where would you most likely be?

Probably somewhere eating good food or working out. Either fit or fat, no in between.
