Inspired by Courage, Tenacity … And Stage Lights: Meet Whitney

Ever wonder who comes up with the amazing marketing strategies behind our clients’ success? We’d like to introduce you!

Meet Whitney, our Strategic Marketing Manager and all-around optimizer. She brings more than 13 years of strategic marketing to find creative ways to help clients get the most out of their marketing plans.

What’s the coolest thing about working at Accelity?

Hands down it’s the incredible people that I work with. Every single one of my team members knows how to have fun while creating solutions for our clients. The level of commitment to excellence AND laughter is bar none.

What advice do you have for someone looking to get started in marketing?

Never forget your own personal experience as a consumer. Reflecting on how you want the brands you do business with to treat, connect and engage with you will heavily impact the way you go about creating content or implementing strategies.

Who would you switch places with for one day?

OoOoO this is a great question—does the skill level come with the switch? If so, I would love to switch places with a stage performer, either burlesque or a Vegas showgirl. The outfits and dance routines are so fun, and I’ve always wanted to be on stage.

Who inspires you?

I am so inspired by every single creative and revolutionary who saw their dreams when they closed their eyes, then went after them once they opened them. I’m inspired by courageousness, boldness, tenacity, wit and intuition. By those who lean into being uncomfortable or having an unpopular opinion and pursue it anyway. Without these visionaries, there would be no opportunities for the rest of us to see a path forward demonstrated.

What’s your favorite movie quote?

“I’m a rappin’ raptor

doing what I can,

gonna eat everything

‘til the appearance of man,

Yo-yo see me

I’m livin ‘bove the soil,

I’ll be back but I’m comin’ as oil”

-Mrs. Doubtfire

If you were mayor for a day, what would you do?

I would veto any legislation that was geared towards diminishing opportunities for poorer and underresourced zip codes in favor of growing and centralizing the opportunities in wealthier neighborhoods.

What’s your favorite festival?

I’m from St. Louis, MO, and my favorite festival from the ‘Lou is a strong tie between The Taste of St. Louis and the Greek Festival. The delicious BBQ vendors from local restaurants and listening to music from artists who got their start locally is such a treat. The incredible lamb shanks and pastitsio are worth waiting all year for.
